Ignorance is Bliss
Your ignorance is hell for me
While you embrace its bliss
The perpetuity of audacity
spewing from your lips
How dare you ask me
what is wrong
Your blinking stare
as drawwwwn
out as my list of grievances
The grieving is impossible
in your aloof presence
The air of you tastes of poison
The look of you of grace
My stomach churns
in a war of disbelief
begging you to
look your actions in the face
It’s been a bit since I’ve introduced myself. So, a little about me. I’m Sara. I absorb people’s stories. They come out in poems that often portray the pain I sense people have difficulty putting to words. As a chronic “fixer”, it’s unfortunate that all I can do is write about our pain and not heal it. Nonetheless, I hope my words bring some relief. This corner on the internet is a place to see and be seen.
